More School
Guess what? Mrs. Brengle visited school on Friday! I was so glad! I really missed her. Other than that, I've been playing violin, and learning to read notes. I've been reading, too. Please comment. I will waste my time laughing at Uncle John's, and hearing his anti-school thoughts.

The Lake
Yesterday I went to the lake with Grandpa, Aunt Becky, Katie, Aunt Gerri, Will, Rachel, and her friends, Margaret and Susie. Margaret, Rachel, and Aunt Becky skied and crossed the wake.We swam, and I tried to ski, but didn't get up, so I decided to try later, and got up a tiny bit. Then, Aunt Gerri, Rachel, Margaret, and Susie left for Quincy. We blew up Big Bertha and only got 3 rides, it had another hole. After that I tried to ski on Uncle Charles' boat and got up a little, and then skied for a long time! It was exciting! Then, we left. I had an AWESOME day!

Summer Days
Yesterday I went to pick up my pottery, I really like how they turned out. Then we went to the pool and I got to go on the new, dark waterslide. That night I went to a play with my friend and we saw Cinderella. I really liked their voices and the funny added parts. This morning we went to the zoo and saw lots of animals, until Tommy started to fuss. We did see your building at the zoo, Uncle John, and luckily, at the ocean, I did not take your jellyfish advice, and did not drown with extra weight!

Vacation
Luckily, vacation had nothing to do with school, Uncle John. First, we drove, and drove, and drove, until we finally got to Mississippi. We went to Tallahatchie Flats and met the manager of the Sharecropper Shacks, Mr. Bubba. We went into our place, made of scraps of wood! We had a living room, kitchen, two bedrooms and a deck. We looked around, and then went to the Tallahatchie River. Then, we had our not-good-at-all dinner. After dinner we went to Mr. Bubba's home and learned a game that we would play as real sharecropper kids, called jackrocks. It's like jacks, except only with rocks. Then we ate watermelon and went to bed. The next day we pretty much just left for New Orleans. When we got there we went to Oak Alley Plantation. We learned all about the house, so much I can't write it all. Then we went to our awesome hotel, the Hampton Inn. It was a giant room with a big bed, sofa bed, desk area, and a spinning TV, so you could watch it anywhere. There was also an outside pool, and we were usually the only ones there. That night we went to Cannons, a really good restaurant. Then we took a walk, swam, and went to bed. The next day we walked, and walked to the French Quarter. Then we took the Streetcar to the aquariam and saw many things, like jellyfish, and I thought I would never get stung. Then we took the bus to the Bluebird cafe, which was sooo good! Then we got directions to get snowballs, but we got sent 14 blocks the wrong way and had to call Aunt Tracy. So we got the snowballs which were terrible, and walked to the hotel and swam. That night we went to Mandina's for dinner, with the family. The next day we went to audobon park and got the best snowballs ever! Then we went back and swam. Then we got ready for the wedding. Then we went to the church and saw the wedding, and we all laughed when they put the ring on the wrong finger, dropped it, and then Uncle Joe said, " It was the cheaper of the two rings, it doesn't matter!" Next we went to the reception at the zoo, and we ate the delicious food. Then I danced with all the cousins, and Uncle Joe and Aunt Tracy danced. Then we ate delicious 7-7-07 cake. We looked at the animals too. There were nutria (giant rats), cougars, and alligators. Then we went back and went to bed. The next day we drove to Orange Beach, AL. We went to Holiday Inn and right away went swimming in the ocean, and I got stung on my hand. Then we got a delicious dinner at Winn Dixie. The next day the family came and swam and I got stung again. That night we drove to the motor home and had dinner and took a walk. The next day the family came to swim again, and we went to lunch at Gulf Shores Steamers (my teacher recommended it), and we all liked it a lot. That night we went to the glass bottom boat and saw a lot of dolphins. Then we went for ice cream without any dinner. Then we went back and went to bed. The next day we swam and I got stung, and then we left for Mississippi. We stayed at Country Inn and Suites and swam and exercised, and the next day we went home and I got sick, and now it is the next day and Tommy and I are sick. That was my vacation!

VBS
Tommorow I have Vacation Bible School. And I will get my violin. We do religion lessons and all kinds of stuff. And, apparently we did not keep the fish, I hate fish. I'm not a big fan of seafood. I pretty much had a fun day.

14" Fish Caught!
by Claire Berendzen
Did anyone hear that Elizabeth Berendzen fought for a 14" fish? Well, it's not a joke. At my grandma's lake house we went out to fish and out of the blue a big whopper caught on to the hook. She did mostly everything with a tiny bit of help. It was a personal best, I'd say. The fish was a big grey bass. My goodness!

School's Out
It's summer break! I will really miss my teacher. I have a picture framed in my room of my teacher and me.
I went to my grandma's lake house and swam and played marbles with my Uncle Tim and Aunt Tammi. I went fishing in the dark and pricked myself bad. I was bleeding for about thirty seconds but it stopped. I had a fun time.
Oh, did I tell you I met my fourth grade teacher before school ended? I didn't have to wait until the summer. At the end of school we got awards, too. I got a presidential fitness award which means in gym class I was better than 85% of the nation. I definately have been having a good summer.

Lent
It's Lent. I will say the rosary everyday. I got my ashes before school, people asked me if I bruised my forehead. Very funny. I've been saying the rosary REALLY early in the morning. I find it easier to meditate then.

Ice Skating
On Sunday we went ice skating. I haven't done it since I was 3 or so. At the end I got really fast, but then we left. No school today. It snowed a lot! Oh, and I was on the block and rebounded the ball, shut my eyes, shot, opened my eyes, and I saw the ball spinning around the rim, and it almost tipped out but it went in. I made the 7th and 8th point. We haven't had a basketball game in 2 weeks. I don't know what's going on.

I'm blogging. Nothing really. We've had a sub for 2 days and tomorrow we'll have another! My teacher must have a big fever! She'll be back on monday. Elizabeth received her I-pod today. She has photos and music and a clock, and calender! It's green. She got her name engraved on it. We're watching 42nd Street. Mom says she loves those 1930's movies! I guess she does! That was Claire's News.

Hello!
I couldn't get in. Really annoying. Anyway, today we took down the tree. Everything looks bare! Here's a summary of Christmas:
I woke up at 2:oo in the morning, hearing "Come on!". Later, I heard this "Ho ho ho!". I was freaked! Finally, at 7:30 Beth woke everyone up. I was the first kid downstairs. We all ran to the tree to see what we got. We all found our gifts. I found a blue north face, fluffy socks, books, and candy in my stocking. That's not all! That was just from santa. I got a quilling kit, a book of Marie Curie, and a book of Charles Dickens. Later, Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Joe, and Aunt Gerri came over. We drew pictures with my drawing book. Then, my other set of grandparents came over. We ate a snack, then played. After that we ate dinner. It was delicious! Then we got more presents. I got scrabble. Then they left. That was my Christmas.
