SURPRISE!
Yesterday I went to help my dad carry the chinese, I opened the door, I closed it, and said to my dad, "I don't think I was supposed to go in there!" "Why not?"said my dad. "Look for yourself!" I said surprised. "Just go in there!" said my dad. I went in, turned, and all of the sudden there was a giant SURPRISE! My mom, Elizabeth, and my friends, Tessa, Kathleen, and Claire were there. It was my surprise party! Then we ate papa john's pizza, and drank 7 up. Then, I showed them my room, and we went outside and played. We went to the Berendzen pumpkin patch, and gathered as many pumpkins as we could find, and I showed them more of the farm. Then we played Ghost in the Graveyard. Then It was time for the cake. Elizabeth decorated it. Everyone sang happy birthday, and my mom got a picture of me blowing out the candle. The cake was chocolate, and the ice cream was cookie dough. Then I opened the presents. Elizabeth got me a stuffed doggy, Kathleen gave me a watch and a book, Tessa got me "Luminart", and Claire got me, create your own window stickers. Then everyone got a little stuffed animal and left. That was the best surprise party ever!

Hey, a couple of questions and comments. First, what happened to the Chinese Food - did you guys get to eat it along with the pizza? Also, isn't that the Weilert pumpkin patch - I thought that was Uncle Charle's handiwork there. Maybe I'm wrong about that. I was hoping I could get a pumpkin from out there also. Every time I get one here in Webster Groves it's always practically rotten when I carve it.
Sounds like you had a swell birthday!
Happy Birthday! Glad you had such a fun party!
Happy Birthday one day late. We'll get the B-Day shopping excursion on the calendar soon.
Uncle John should note that Claire doesn't say anything about "Chinese food"--rather, she refers to carrying "the Chinese." Given this, plus the fact that they later eat pizza (which Uncle John rightly wonders about), I think we can infer that they were carrying multiple Chinese people (since "the Chinese" sounds like it would be plural, as opposed to "the Chinese man", "the Chinese woman" etc.).
So my question then is, where did you put these people?
