Pottery Class

Tra-C, there is not a certain shape in pottery. Some of mine were straight, some were tilted. I made 4 cylinders today. I haven't made any bowls yets, but on thursday i'll try to. Tomorrow we are trimming, which is you trim off some of the bottom because if you don't it won't glaize right.

Hey, maybe you can make Tracy and me a pot as a wedding gift. Aunt Patti has given me some nice pottery gifts, why not you?

And guess what--I gave Tracy a ring with a big sapphire and small diamonds. But no ruby! Now she can't be Mrs. America...

Rachel doesn't understand what trimming is.

Actually you †rim off some of the stuff on the bottom to make it look prettier.

I think you have to watch someone trim a pot to understand how and why you do it. (Also, really, really, really good potters often don't have to trim their pots.) Too bad your mom didn't take a picture of you trimming.
